Gather the right tools

Cut wallpaper to size

Measure the height of the wall and cut wallpaper strips slightly longer than the wall height. This extra length allows for trimming at the top and bottom. Mark the cuts carefully to keep edges straight. Preparing the strips in advance makes the process more efficient.

Apply adhesive correctly

Some wallpapers come pre-pasted, while others want paste applied separately. Follow the instructions for your wallpaper type. Position and align wallpaper

Smooth out air bubbles and wrinkles

Use a smoothing tool or plastic scraper to remove air bubbles and wrinkles. Work from the center outward to the edges. Take care near seams to avoid tearing or damaging the paper.

Trim excess wallpaper

After the wallpaper is in place, use a sharp utility knife to trim excess at the top and bottom. Cut along the edges carefully for a clean finish.
